Documents required for your Schengen Visa
The following list of documents are required for any short-term Schengen visa application:
Visa Application Form
Two recent Photographs
Less than 3 months old.
A Valid Passport
Round Trip Reservation or Itinerary
Travel Insurance Policy
Proof of Accomadation
Proof of Financial Means
Evidence you have funds to financially support yourself throughout your stay in the Schengen. These can be one of the following:
- Bank account statement – evidencing enough money in your account for the trip. The bank statement needs to be less than three months old.
- Sponsorship Letter – a letter from someone who confirms they will be financially supporting your trip to the Schengen. In order for this letter to be valid, it must be accompanied by the bank statement of the sponsor, again, less than three months old.
- A combination of your bank account statement.
- Proof of Employment
- Proof of Income – employment/student letter dated within the last three months.

Most Schengen Visa applications are usually processed within 7-8 business/working days. You can apply for your Schengen Visa up to three months before you travel which is highly recommended if you are travelling over a holiday season.
